Welp, I'm in. Be flying solo as Amber will be in Austin that week. Just purchased vip and premium camping. Going to be a blast I just know it.

Purchase includes (1) Premium Small RV parking pass, which garners a space that is 20-feet wide. These spaces vary in length from 20-39 feet long. These spaces are located in the Premium RV Area at Pop’s Farm (see venue map). This is the most level, convenient and popular RV area at Pop’s Farm.

Thanks. It's going to be a busy week for me. I will drive to Cville on Tues or Wed for Wolf-n-Weir, drive to Martinsville on Thurs and find a hotel for the night there. Fri a.m. I head to the Infamous Weekend in time to hook up with the mob. I may drop by to visit some friends in Bumpass either on the front end or back end - TBD.Yeah, same venue as before. Best bet is to meet beforehand and roll in together. It's tough being retired, but I train for this...
Any ideas on a rendezvous point? I don't really recall the venue that well. I have something they call a Camping and Premium Car Parking Pass (as well as my VIP Weekend Ticket) and I can most likely get there early if needed.

What hotel are y'all meeting at/staying at? I was planning to stay in Roanoke but getting closer sounds like a good idea. Especially if we can crack a beer with some friends Thursday night.

I was really impressed with the kickoff Infamous Weekend. It was the most fun I have had in a festival in a while. The venue is great (Roosterwalk venus, Pop's Farm), small (but hilly, get the premium parking) One thing that was amazing was the stage lighting. I always notice that. here are some shots. (The entire show was heavily backlit, which I did not like so much, but it made for some beautiful imagery.

Our local celebrity was hanging out at out campsite all weekend... (We need to get lobster an antler hat.)
And a shot of the aptly named the VIP afternoon set "Dust Covers", where the Dusters played some cover times and took requests. Very intimate and personal.

What a great weekend it was. Really felt good camping with a group of friends, old and new alike. I love the venue and it was setup just a bit different than at roosterwalk.
There was no vip specific camping, so anyone could come and go to each other's camps. That's a nice change. The new vip stage was also visible from the now open, premium rv camping. So some folks lined up along the border and watched from a distance for the dust covers set. And a couple of pedal boats on the lake, gotta love that commitment.
The music was stellar all around. Really liked the sweet lilies. Loved Wilson springs hotel, like them more every time. Kendall Street is always a fun entertaining show. They even were heard talking about some sort of cheese crackers.... that was very cool.
Seeing 49 Winchester on pops farm was something I've been wanting since I started listening to them. Stellar, pretty straightforward set. Glad some more forum fam got to see them for the first time. I like what wharf said about them, "when you Google country that doesn't suck these guys should be first result". Couldn't agree more bud.
Dusters killed it as always. Phenomenal musicians, great lights and sound. Awesome covers, what's not to love.
I think they did really well for the first one. Sold out of a lot of merch and beer so that's gotta be a good sign. Already said they were talking about next year. See ya there!
