We always just left ours in the car but times have changed.

Who are these children. Do they exist? None of the parents at Otto's have them. I literally have had a strange child from the next booth use me as a jungle gym while the parents said/did NOTHING.

Well I said babies, a sub-category of "children" since "children" has a wide range, but in the context of the topic drift, it would be toddlers to teens. Their bad behavior is more disturbing to others the younger they are, becomes more manageable with age, becomes more unacceptable and intolerable as they get older.

Some parents forget that the children have the short-term personality syndrome, where they enter good as gold, somehow sense when the entre is ordered, then flip to monsters when the food is on its way.

However, at the right places and times, parents need to take children out even at a young age to teach them how to behave. The bad parents do not teach, but tolerate or encourage; the clueless parents do not have an exit strategy. But I am willing to have some disturbance while parents make a good attempt to teach; that's a cost of being in a society and the benefits will eventually repay.

Anyone who takes a too-young child to a restaurant or movie because they don't want to pay for a sitter can't afford the restaurant or movie. It's a big problem in urban theaters for shows after 9:00 pm--they think the child will sleep through Mad Max! They put them on the floor or give them toys and junk food. Disgraceful.

And I learned something today.

do you want to live for people so they only do what you feel is appropriate? I really think its the devil making people want to hush up or force people to do things in life the way others want them to. you have no business saying people can't afford babysitters and should live a way you feel is acceptable. kids are usually innocent, beautiful beings. from my upbringing with a mother who hushed me when i laughed too loud and other squelching things, i love when people are free to express emotions and uniqueness. you do things at festivals others deem as inappropriate and carouse with strangely dressed human creatures, so live and let live.

What is a good restaurant experience? like this...? this local pheasant is impeccable! And the boar bacon is not as fatty, i'd love to make a jerky similar to this and bring it to lockn. Um, honey, you have a little sauce in the corner of your mouth. gee, thanks honey. I love when you interrupt me to embarrass me. i'm sorry, but... you also just spit boar bacon into the herbed cheese! Gosh, honey. Waiter, can you recommend a good white to accompany our dishes? But honey, we already had that IPA, don't forget we have a 15 mile drive. I know honey, we'll be fine. Tick tock. where's the waiter? Here he comes. Oh, wait, he's talking to the other waitress. The service has been good. if it weren't for the huge host stepping on your foot i think i'd give it 4 stars. Ha ha ha. Even fat girls need to pay the rent. Oh, great. What. Don't turn around. But you should see who just walked in. Who? Oh, that couple we met at our town festival, Joe and Diane. Oh, yeah, the guy did Floyd Fest. Remember their kids, eating the candied apple at the fair, the little one ran into you and ruined those white pants. Oh, gosh yeah. There should be laws against kids eating at fancy restaurants. i picked white for a very calculated reason, knowing someone like you would believe red was best.  if i was dressing to impress you then i would have perused snooth for you.  redundant?  i know the word.  but it's hard to avoid.  maybe some day it will make sense. my fantasy lameville was written with you in mind, and others, not knowing you.  as far as serious conversations go...  like what? how was dead and co?  can we get the eagles next fest?  how about, hey guys, gathering of the vibes cut me out of their forum for saying it was a sketch scene, but they discoursed on rapes and murders in the forum like it was as common as debating wine pairings.  an old acquaintance died at gathering of the vibes, his name was chris, rest his soul.  that year the geriatric team likes to complain they might have died because the weather was too hot.  in summer, no less.  and at a beach one can douse in.  so take your cancelled days and frigid air and do your fests with insanity amidst life forces you may or may not get.  in many ways this is a biblical battle.  its kind of stupid and i shouldn't really be here commenting, but i am.  read snooth without me.
