I'm curious how folks go about keeping themselves from getting too funky while camping in GA land where showers are not included in the price tag. What's your favorite method? I did well last year combining baby wipes with the sink truck. But I'm toying with the idea of a solar shower...

I will either be getting a solar shower or paying for showers. Not showering is not an option for me.

A rainstorm and the edge of a big tent would work well--group shower; no peeking. (or why to throw in a swimsuit)
before there were these festivals there was this "Currituck Jam" in the swamp at the Va/NC border on the beach. Afternoon storms provided
a good hosing down for the group. BTW there will be veterans of those jams at Lockn. Scruffy bunch, they.

Sponge bath. I keep a couple of pitchers that I empty extra water from my cooler each night & keep them covered till late morning outside so it warms up. Then with soap wash face, balding head, tho I have a ponytail that's easy to keep clean, then pits & privates. Baby wipes for the rest. I also a camping hanging shower thing that I hang from my luggage rack to wash my hands during the day.

i never shower at festivals. everyone is funky, who cares. i have been carrying these around for about a year. finally got some use when my lady friend came with me to roo this year. they are surprisingly large and quite worth the money it seemed.

Thanks Sneake. Those look great. I'm ordering some tonight. The kind of wipes I've been looking around for. Baby wipes are too small but it's all I could find that works, at 24x14 that's a towel.

I didnt even see a sink truck/trailer last year (car camping 1) but that was always my method at roo. At lockn I tried to take a bird bath with jugs at camp at least once a day, and splurged for a hot shower on Saturday morning. Worked pretty well.

Used their powder before, but never these. Nice find, sneake!
Personally, I don't care about offending anyone else; I just don't like feeling greasy.

If I remember right, showers were $10.

That is the correct way to think of it. They are not "free" showers in VIP. You pay for them in the price of the ticket whether you use them or not. Pro tip, if you have "free" showers take one at night before going to bed.SVIP - so I guess paid showers....DOH!

I love the "bath in a bag" wipes, they are great for refreshing yourself during the day and a must for Festy feet. I can't stand going to bed with dirty feet.
