one of my best buddies is the head of the film crew that is traveling with Zane all summer in order to make a movie out of the 50th anniversary trip. Apparently theyre having the most incredible time. Im hoping to join the bus for the last couple weeks and be a part of the big finale party in San Francisco. I've actually invested a sizeable chunk of money in the film as well, so make sure ya'all buy some DVDs n blu rays when they come out! The bus got pulled from the Peach festival but they are going to be at Lockn in full prankster form!

Okay, I haven't wanted to say anything, out of respect for our dear departed Ken, Godfather to us Deadheads, but:

The project was fully funded on Kickstarter by May 28th. Therefore, the bus crowd has hat at least all summer if they wanted to work it out with Lockn' and Peach. It's apparent they did not do that. If I was running a festival and some guys with a bus (no matter how famous the last name) convinced a bunch of their acolytes to agitate on the fest's Facebook less than a month in advance instead of going through the proper channels, I'd flip them the bird too.

If they would like to attend, all they have to do is by a ticket and a camping pass like the rest of us. I suppose they'd have to beg on here or FB for an RV pass, but that goes back to what I said about planning in advance, and maybe one of their fans could hook them up or something. I mean, what makes them think that they get to just march in at a moment's notice for nothing? What service do they provide? They're not musicians, and they sure as hell ain't serving up any psychedelic scooby snacks anymore, so what? Good vibes? I can give good vibes too, but I still have to purchase a ticket.

I realize the bus is a part of history. But what happened on that bus is far more important than the bus itself, and that can never be recreated. At least not now that the man is wise. If Zane Kesey and his band of Merry Kickstarters get let in as an "attraction" while I have to pay through the nose, I'm gonna be pissed.

Actually, you know what? I'm fine with the bus being there as an attraction. Just not the people.

I think the folks in Zane's entourage still have to buy their own tickets to the big fests. I know in the prankster application it said something like "SLIGHT possibility of comp'ed passes for smaller fests". Not sure what they'll all do about camping and rv passes though as not everyone is crashing on the bus as they go along. Where are all the Facebook comments? Can't find anything...

It was at The Gathering of the Vibes, Really cool to see.... No issues at all with it, Nobody was even standing with it, They had a table set next to it selling Blotter art & posters, Got some great pics, Would be awesome if it came, there was a list of where it was going to be going but I have no idea where its headed.

Also there was talk of members from both Quicksilver Messenger Service and String Cheese getting on the bus at some point...not sure if its still happening!
