General Questions (St. Stephen's Thread)

There are generally water filling stations in the concert venue area. So bring an empty container or camelback. VIP ticket holders are being given a water bottle, so surely there will be water stations.

They better have ATMs!!

Cooking without knives, how in the hell do you do it? I have not been to a festie since 1996 , and due to a severe food allergy I have to cook all that I eat, including my own ketchup, mustard, relish ect........ My other half also is on a special diet for gout and festival food does not fit into that equation.

I have to cook everything from scratch , the rules say no cooking knives , we are in an RV , because we do have to cook everything from scratch ..just wondering how this is accomplished

Prohibited Items (Parking / Camping Areas)
Illegal drugs / drug paraphernalia
Weapons, including bats, kitchen knives OR anything that can be considered a weapon.
Beer kegs / Hard Liquor / Unreasonable amounts of alcohol (One (1) case beer / One (1) bottle (plastic) of liquor for patrons that are 21+ is permitted)
Fireworks of any kind or size.
Glass bottles or containers of any kind. (This includes, but is not limited to: glass bottles, glass food jars, and anything made of glass.)
Unlicensed vending
Charcoal or any containers with additional fuel, accelerants, large amounts of propane.
Bundles of firewood.
Motorized vehicles (golf carts, ATVs, etc.)
No Pets. If a pet is found in your vehicle or camping area, they will be turned away. We have learned from experience that pets, especially dogs, have been trapped in overheated vehicles, bitten people, roamed in packs and been lost, much to the anguish of their owners. These events are not designed for pets.
All large sized box trucks will be turned away, and be not permitted on the festival site.
By attending this event, participants consent to their persons and property, including belongings and vehicles, to be searched for prohibited items prior to entering the Lockn' music festival. Officials have the right to deny access to any person(s) who do not consent to these searches.

My guess is the "no kitchen knives" is a disclaimer they are making to help with insurance premiums. There is no way they are going to be able to do deep dive searches on RVs and cars to look in every cupbard and lift up every floor mat. That being said, you should follow the rules

i know they have dry ice at Kroger Grocery stores in Richmond, where i live. there are a few kroger stores about 40 minutes south in lynchburg, according to the kroger website. i bet at least one of them has some.

I think you're fine bringing a knife or two for cooking as long as they are packed away properly with other cooking supplies. Bonnaroo prohibits knives as well, but I've brought one for the last nine years. Worst case scenario, they take your knives at the gate.





I totally agree, but I would like to be certain about the fact so that I can budget my finances accordingly. I guess my main point (and sort of the point of this thread) is that we're a week away and it seems like there is a lot of information that we still don't have; meanwhile, it has been difficult getting answers from the "info" e-mail address they provided.
