with the stage facing southeast we'll have sun in the eyes then cool sunsets behind the stage but I'm sure they've figured that out so it won't be bad viewing.

Don't you think that would be the VIP pen toward the back, not the area in front of the stage?  I can't tell from this angle how far back it is.  that would be just wrong to cut off most people from being near the stage. (I have a VIP ticket and I would not feel at all comfortable with that sort of arrangement.  I don't feel entirely great about having a VIP ticket in the first place)

you think VIP is getting those platforms again??I remember them being less than thrilled about us chilling underneath of them, Maybe they are doing that again but with wook proof supports. They do look bigger than last year for sure. Right behind that will be ALLL the hoopers myself included

Dated myself, haha, I like being 62. Glad I got to experience all that good music when it was fresh. Saw the Allmans play with the Dead at DC stadium in 72 or 73, the Band on their farewell tour, Rod Stewart and Faces when he was still good and Ronnie Wood was in the band, BB King in his prime (Allmans were supposed to be on the bill but that was right after the heroin bust so they canceled), the Who on the Quadrophenia tour, Allmans the first time right after Dwayne died but before Berry passed, Neil Young on the Trans tour (OK, that was lame), Turtles (Flo and Eddie super good band), Beach Boys before they became an oldies act, Flying Burrito Brothers. Never seen Winwood but love him, seen Wilco and Jeff Tweedy a couple times, am super-psyched for Wilco, agree with others who have noted they are gonna blow the tents out of the far parking lots!

Regardless of the setup some will like it, some will not. As long as GA attendees are at my beck and call to give me shoulder rides when I so desire then everything will be fine.
