I dont what what to say but ......wow! I had an awesome time. Keller, WSP, Phil, ABB. Kept running into doctorrob and lobster. Great guys.

Absutely amazing, that was the most quality music i've ever stuffed into a weekend! String cheese (especialy fridays sets) phil and bills friday sets, wood brothers, taj mahal, wilco's saturday set, and allman brothers were my higighlights but i didnt see a single dissapointing show! (Sure phil playing low spark and mr fantasy, made winwood playing it a bit less exciting, really not sue what was goig through the heads of phil and friends when they thought up that one) but all amazing music and i met bnothing but really great, happy people! I needed that, I feel incredibly tired and refreshed at the same time.

The headliners were great, as one would expect, but I really enjoyed Tauk, SOJA, Peoples Blues Band, and Grace. They got it going on.
When do 2015 tix go on sale?
?

Overall one heck of a weekend. Tried to meet up with one or two of you and go to the meetup but my service was terrible all weekend. Seemed like everybody I was around that had Verizon had the same problem. I talked to my family and girlfriend on the phone I think twice all weekend, couldn't hardly get a call to go thru. Got a hand-full of text's in and out but not enough to arrange meeting people. Oh well, that's part of it.
I was impressed with how smoothly everything went for the fest to only be in its 2nd year. Came in around 6 pm Thursday, we was in the gates and through security setting up camp within 30 mins. Left last night after the Allman Brothers, in which there was an overload of people leaving. Still got out in an hour. A few small problems, but I left with a good impression of the festival. Thought the sports tent was awesome, shade and football. Wish they would make it a little bigger and put some sitting benches and sofa chairs in there. Loved all the local food and craft beer that were sit up, so much of Richmond and Roanoke in attendance. My favorite sets of the weekend in no particular order were: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, both UM sets, SCI tribute to Kool and the Gang, WSP (especially when Winwood play with), Grace Potter and The Nocturnals (wasn't expected to be blown away by them, but def was), and of course Willie Nelson.

They all kinda ways tore the place up. How Grace can have that kinda energy when it was hot is hard to believe. Grace Potter and The Nocturnals (wasn't expected to be blown away by them, but def was)

I kept thinking she was like Grace Slick 40 years ago. Then she read my mind and played "WhiteRabbit/Go Ask Alice".. They all kinda ways tore the place up. What a great weekend. Still processing all the amazing music over the last four days; can't get my head completely around it right now.
My only complaint has to do with the food and the bathrooms. And it wasn't because there weren't enough bathrooms (there was) or the food was no good (it was great and plentiful). The problem was with so many fantastic bands playing back-to-back-to-back, I never wanted to leave being up front to eat, or pee, or rest, or stop dancing...
Already planning to come back next year!

Likewise! What a special time. Sorry issued the m&g bit did hookup with worf n sueb mcjeff and doctor who gave me huge hospitality and love when I was an orphan. Thanks to all of the glowing fairies who danced so beautifully around me at the triangle it was magic

Well, I had a blast...I love people and great music and camping...it was amazing ...I will write up a summation when I get back to New York. ..Drive safe n ...is it too early to get early bird tickets for 2015 ? Lol...

A lot of shows have been quick to post online. Listening to a good Petty recording now.

Had an amazing time. Loved the music, food was tasty, even the vip stuff.
Loved all the local brews; managed to try every one.
I agree about the NFL tent. I was told there would be 6 tvs showing all or most of the games. When I got there, there was only two games being shown, and worse for the 4pm games they only showed one game and the us open.
Also having benches/chairs scattered around would be nice. I saw lots of places to stand/eat etc....but no where to just sit and take a load off.
And yeh the service blew. Made it very hard to meet up with people. Was getting texts like 6hrs later.
All in all a great time though.

They had Dish as the provider, so they was only getting the games on the Nelson County market. If I was running it I would try to work out some kind of sponsorship deal with Directv and get the Sunday ticket. Add a TV or two and you could have 5 or 6 games running at all times through out the day. Some benches and sofa's are needed, but the fest is only 2 years it in. It will continue to get better. My son (he's 19) and I had a great time. I spent a lot of time on the Forum, reviewing the details about LF2013, and was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly things ran this year. We pulled in Thursday at 3:00, after minimal security wait times and set up camp. Musical highlights include UM, Lettuce, Grace Potter and Co, TTB, Allmans, Wilco and Dumpstaphunk was amazing. Thanks for the ultimate festival checklist and guidance on arrival advice. We left before ABB finished their Sunday night set (blasphemy!) and made it back to Baltimore in about three hours.
I've been to hundreds of shows over the years, but this was my first festival. I would definitely come back, but would want to see the artist lineup for 2015 before buying tickets.

glad you were able to have a good time with your son. i hope you guys had a great experience together. as far as waiting to see the lineup, if i were you, i would go ahead and get the early ticket price now. i GUARANTEE you'd be able to offload your tickets later at early bird price if you need to later.

Wow. I can't believe I was worried about too much SCI. They absolutely blew my mind every time they played. Outstanding. Grace Potter was great, Wilco was great, WSP was great. So many great shows. This was my first Lock'n but I am certainly returning for more next year.
The highlight for me, however, was Keller Williams. He put on a great show three straight mornings. I must see him live again very soon.

I also needed to add that I thought Willie Nelson was great. I mean the guy sounds as good today as he did 30 years ago. I know, not everyone's cup of tea, but I was impressed. And it seemed like he was enjoying himself.
