The Other Ones 2000 to headline Lockn 2015

Wouldn't The Other Ones still be considered "core 4"? At least that was what they were billed as when they did the family reunion shows at Alpine Valley in '02.

That's a hot rumor. Makes sense too since I think the Rolling Stones article pretty definitively said it was Phil who wouldnt do more shows and we know he is on the outs with SK. That would be a huge announcement

As well as a couple of Steve Winwood songs. Why in the hell would Phil play Dear Mr. Fantasy and Low Spark of High Heeled Boys right before Steve played them? I though that was a total DICK move, no excuse for that. I lost a lot of respect for Phil that night.

I remember at Mountain Jam a couple years ago Panic had played Low Spark and Dear Mr. Fantasy on a Saturday with Randall Bramblett. On Sunday Phil and Friends with Warren and Scofield did the same songs. I was really confused when that happened the first time.

Winwood got shorted due to the storm and evacuation. Originally he was going to play a few songs with WSP but then WSP decided to put him in for the whole show. They couldn't just push everything later b/c Petty had a plane in Lynchburg and was on a schedule of sorts (maybe get him on stage before he couldn't?)

I overheard the planning between WSP and the Petty guys during the evacuation.

Okay so a lot of us agree that Phil was a dick. Who knows what's really up between them? If they do play Lockn Chicago will give them a chance to work some of it out. It would make the festival for me if they did. So far I'm feeling skeptical about the direction they are taking. Hopefully they have big news to come. I keep reminding myself that this festival is in its infancy and hope they do read this board and consider the opinions expressed here. I'm not sure that all of my ideas are doable for them but I though that this was a jam band themed festival. I also thought that it inspired collaborations.
"Scraping the bottom of the barrel " might be closer to true than it is harsh, or so it seems right now. I'm invested in 2015 and hopefully will have a blast. For the expense of Lockn I can do about five festivals on the west coast or 15 trips to TXR. Unfortunately, you all have better festivals out there and 35 to 40 bands in 4 days isn't happening out here to my knowledge. So, I'm gonna go and have fun and see if 2016 seems worth it in September (~);}

if I understand your question...for me it's not about a song it's about Phil stepping on Bill and Steve, not just a little, but hard. I thought Woops with Franklins but Bird Song and Darkstar said "FU" about a clearly as a middle finger or even two and I havent even gotten to the part about Steve.
If it wasn't former Dead I might have called it set list collisions, but it is former Dead who don't need set lists so I'm sticking to Phil was a dick. If I didn't understand your question please disregard or clarify:)
