Steven Jones First I want to say thank you Dave and Pete and all of the Lockn crew, we really appreciate all that you do to put on this amazing gathering of musicians, fans and family. Second… Mickey, Billy and Phil all have their own sets. Is Bob Weir going to get his own set? His fans need to know. He sure as hell has earned it and the fans certainly want it to happen.

LOCKN' Festival Steven Jones, Bob has chosen to attend and be an artist in residence. We will learn exactly what that means on Saturday the 12th.

Todd Johnson Clean the Hunny Buckets more frequently. Seriously

LOCKN' Festival Todd Johnson, we constructed a very large septic system so that we can process waste on site and not burden the Rivanna sanitation facility more than it already is. What this also means is that the porto trucks will be on site the entire time and not spending 3 hours driving to and from Charlottesville to unload. Because of this, I expect that the porto pottie units overall will be kept a lot cleaner this year.

LOCKN' Festival Zac Riedel, Well, that would sure be a great nod to the other iconic San Francisco band who are celebrating their 50th anniversary also. That's something I would like to see and I know they are all friends, but I'm not expecting anything...


Rick Taylor Morning Dave will there be more golf carts for the disabled or some of us older seniors to get up to late night stages

LOCKN' Festival Rick Taylor, We're going to have both pedi-cabs and we have a new cart transport company called Patron Transport Services who will be providing twice the carts we had last year. These carts will service Car Camping, RV Camping and Forest Camping.


Donelle Dermer will more ADA camping be made available?? TY


LOCKN' Festival Donelle Dermer, We provide far more ADA Camping spots than we are legally required to. They are sold out and for us to provide for ADA properly, we cannot bite off more than we can chew. Please Email ada@locknfestival.com with any ADA questions. The fact that they are tweaking the schedule and that there are a few surprises got my attention.

I agree. Adds to the suspense and excitement. It also leaves more to look forward to as if there isn't a crazy amount already!!

Not really understanding why you would turn a 50 year celebration of Jefferson Airplane into a GD show by adding the rudimentary quartet. tGD had their 50th birthday party without bringing Jack & Jorma much less Kantner, Balin or Slick on stage.Just don't see the upside other than seeing all 44 of them on stage together.

Agree but Kreutzmann is already there as part of the JA set.  

Billy is already playing drums for the JA thing but that is enough. He is playing it as the drummer not part of the gang of four.

And the JA lineup looks just fine to me as is for some of the most amazing acid rock ever produced.

I don't count Blows as JA. It isn't Jefferson Starship as it became but it still isn't JA. It is a Paul Kantner solo project that utilized some, but not all,  members of Airplane and just about every other musician playing in SF at the time. Kantner and Slick are the first two mentioned in the lineup followed by Jerry, Billy & Mickey. Jack and JA drummer Joey Covington follow them and Jorma isn't even credited on the album although his brother Peter is.

As far as JA is concerned I'm sorta on the fence with the exception of Rachel Price. That girl has got some vocals.....and I think will bring something very amazing to the set.

Looks like the camping price hike that Dave promised in this Q & A kicked in today.

Glad I bought my extra pass over the weekend. We decided to splurge on our GA trip this year with two camping passes so we can spread out a bit. :-)

Did all the camping prices go up or just car and tent only?
