I confess that I have never actually gone on tour with a band. I don't think I've ever seen a band more than two nights in a row. I am looking to start making runs, though. I'm sure a lot of you all have been on much longer runs.
What are the most days/shows you have spent on a road with one band?

I never really toured (you know this whole job thing gets in the way of my time to have fun), but in the summer of 1988 I saw 4 Dead shows in 3 states over a 5 day period - 2 in WI (Alpine), 1 in OH (Buckeye), and 1 in PA (Pittsburgh). One the off day (between Alpine and Buckeye I went to Wrigley and saw a Cubs-Mets game.
In 1993 or 1994 (?) I saw 6 in 7 days - 3 at the Crap Centre and 3 at the Spectrum with an off day between them.
Both time I came back to work more tired than I left (but much happier).

First show was VA Tech April of 1978 and last one was RFK in 1995. Was at 94 Grateful Dead shows when Jerry left the building. I had mail ordered for the 3 Philly shows in the fall of 1995 and was set up to go west for the first time and get number 100 at NYE. The best laid plans....

I never really toured hard either, except for that one time...
New Years 1989 Grateful Dead run in Oakland, CA. We drove from Lynchburg, VA to Palo Alto, CA in 51 hours. Yes, straight through only stopping for fuel/piss break. Left On Christmas Eve 1988 and arrived on 12/27/88. We went to shows on 12/28 and 12/29. They took off 12/30 and then we went to NYE show on 12/31 (Clarence Clemmons on sax. tom Tom club opened, three song encore!). Rested for a day or two after and then headed home. Hit SanFran for Haight/Ashbury and the Psychedelic Shop and to get Mrs. TOO to send some more cash. Made the whole run coast to coast including tickets and favors for $400. Unfortunately the Mrs. had just started a new job and could not attend.
Yes it was EPIC!! Many more details that I will save for another time...Awesome shows, here are the links...

Have done back to back nights for a lot of different bands, but only time I did 3 was Phish 2011. Charlotte -> Raleigh -> Portsmouth

I'm still new to this scene. Up until last year my longest was two nights in a row of Cabinet. But this past year I did a 3 night run with a local fave, Still Hand String Band.

I'm not too hardcore either. I've done a bunch of two-nighters for several bands. The only time I did 3 nights was when I was moving from California to North Carolina in 2014. Gov't Mule's tour happened to line up with my travel schedule for a few days. Caught them in L.A. two nights before leaving CA, then saw them in Albuquerque and Oklahoma City along the way. Then they headed up north and I continued east. Having that to look forward to at the end of the day made driving across those un-scenic desert states less sucky.

From 1996-2002 Nick would regularly go on tour with Phish, usually Alpine to Deer Creek to wherever else for a week or two.
For me, this summer the last four Baker's Dozen shows will be my longest "run", and I am already exhausted just thinking about it. Honestly, the Friday or Saturday show I may "gift" my ticket to my stepson and have he and Nick go together by themselves. The kids are only going to the 8/2 show.

83 was my first "tour". The longest run was 89 through 91 and 92 west Coast. There was also a few good runs with Melvin and JGB over the years. Then I got roped into working and have had a few runs on that side of the show or festival but don't consider that "doing tour" because you are housed and fed well and travel arrangements are all paid for and even occasionally made for you.

It was definitely one of the saddest days in memory for us.Until Jerry died, I never had more than 55 hours of vacation time because I used it for shows on the east coast.thelizard and I went to the Buckeye and Pittsburgh shows in 1988. Weir showed up in town with Ratdog just a few days later. When he sang Looks Like Rain there was not a dry eye in the place.We never had more than a week of vacation time a year during those days. We attended a vigil for Jerry at Picasso Moon in Richmond right after he died.
