I love all those songs you listed, so if that's what they play, I'd be thrilled. The only song a little more "out there" (to someone who hasn't listened to a lot of Phish) that I would really hope & wish to hear at Lockn' would be Your Pet Cat. But if they play anything from that group, most likely it would be Martian Monster, because that seems to be the one they play most. I missed Your Pet Cat by one show this tour- they played it the second night of Mann, and I was at SPAC. D'oh!
I'm kind of over the Halloween songs, just feel like they've run their course at this point. That being said, a few of them like Your Pet Cat, The Dogs, or Martian Monster would probably go over well at Lockn and would be fun so I'd be fine with any of them. The Very Long Fuse is my favorite, so if I had to pick just one it would be that one.
Some other songs I'd like to see other than what I've already mentioned:
46 Days
Bowie
Undermind
Wingsuit

It's two comedian friends, one a fan (Harris Wittels of Parks and Rec fame, who later passed, RIP) and a not-fan, Scott Auckerman, from Comedy Bang Bang. Harris basically spends each episode trying to explain Phish, their appeal, and by the end get Scott to become a fan. And it is HILARIOUS! My husband and I are actually going to be listening to it again on our way to Lockn'.
So if you have long commutes, work in the garden, go for walks, download the podcast and give at least the first episode a try. You won't regret it.

This is supposed to be free flowing and ever changing based on current touring and just fun. Thread closes Thur @ Lockn. 1pt for each song, 2 pts song location, 3 points for calling a song they rarely play (say let say over 50 shows.. willing to negotiate)
As of right now: opens w/ tweezer...ends Lockn w/ reprize. A Lovin'Cup encore. Ac/DC bag, ocelot, David Bowie. More to follow.

Did my summer festival/camping test run of tamales this weekend. If you are trying to think of a food to cook ahead of a festival I'd highly recommend exploring steamed tamales: easy to make en masse, delicious cold or hot, easily shareable with your neighbors, vegetarian or carnivorous, easy to seal in a zip lock and float in the cooler, naturally full of everything you need to keep you fueled, corn husk wrapping means biodegradable packaging is going into the trash.
Tamales and a bottle of hot sauce can sustain you for several days.
Here's a picture of last weekend's camp fajita quesadillas.

Is it more that Trey just likes Ween so phans like them too or is it that they actually have something in common musically?
We saw "Gene Ween" about... six? years ago at the High Noon Saloon in Madison. We were out having a smoke, he pulled up, grabbed his guitar and waved everyone off, walked onstage, performed, then got into his car (still waving fans off) and drove himself away.

*Pisses on fire and runs away*
I have never seen them perform before but since they have been announced at lockn I have listened to every song on spotify and I just don't get the appeal.
I mean you no offense and I hope i am eating crow at Lockn, but I just can't find one song that I like.
I think it is the lyrics...
With that being said I am still stoked for Lockn and keeping an open mind for Phish.
I always wanted to see them and I can think of no better place than Lockn for a first show.

We've thought about camping but my back may not be able to take sleeping in a tent. I'll reconsider.
Thanks for all the answers/advice!

Camping Review: (Since I am assuming for the 2017 onward season camping will be allowed for all shows) Camping is in the Green Lot, furthest from the venue and requiring a trudge down and back up a valley. Only about half of the 250 spots were sold, but there were huge tanks of drinkable water, and six port-o-potties and four handwashing stations every four rows. They were also cleaned every morning, so we hightailed it there for our morning constitutionals as soon as the trucks left. Each camp spot was 20X40; we had a ton of room to stretch out, and could have easily fit another 6 person tent and another car. Large spotlights were on at all times, but dimmed at night. I felt safe walking to the john at 4:00 am. There was a large generator with four high-res traffic type cameras on a tall pole provided by the Sheriff's department parked right outside our tent. We were told they weren't actively monitored, but would only be used in case a crime was committed. The bulk of the people camping and attending the show looked to be college aged- I was very surprised at that.
Tons of staff were on hand, and they even had fundraisers from local groups come around selling ice, donuts, and coffee. I will say the ADA situation really blew. The first night I trudged to the venue and back, and was pretty sore after all the walking and hill climbing. The next day I inquired about getting an ADA ride up the hill, and after being bounced back and forth finally found out our camp host was the acting ADA ride-giver. Well, that camp host also was an older gent who liked pretty girls, and I watched as he filled his cart with said girls begging for rides as I sat at the designated ADA pick up spot several times. Same thing happened after the show, as I stood visibly exhausted at the meetup spot and he yelled "I'll be back fer ya!" instead of telling the drunk girls piling in the cart that an actual disabled person in need should be getting in. After waiting twenty minutes, I finally made my way on my own back to the lot. He swerved up when I was halfway done. I'm not normally a complainer, but Live Nation will probably be getting an e-mail from me with some pointers about how to comply with ADA standards and regulations.
Show Review: I was strangely underwhelmed. I guess as a nominal fan of DMB I should have figured I wouldn't know much of his music. The musicianship was fantastic, but I was kind of surprised at the lack of diversity in solos and musical flavor. Despite what other people said ahead of the show, I thought Dave sounded great! They seemed to go back and forth between really rocking the house and slowing it down, which was frustrating. I was stoked to see that they played straight through for 3+ hours both nights, no set breaks. They had to be exhausted, because they really went hard.
The encore on the second night was EXCELLENT! They did a really amazing version of my fave DMB song, Two Step. I'll be downloading that one for sure. It's always a good time when you get to see one of your favorite's jammed!
Overall, I'm glad I went, can say I did it. Camping was great, and I look forward to doing it again in the future (Phish summer 2017?). It was nice to just chill on site all day and meet our neighbors. But I will most likely not be spending any more money on DMB shows. I'm kind of kicking myself that we chose to go there instead of Phish at Wrigley, but who cares. Lockn' will make up for that!!!
