archive.org, which includes the Live Music Archive (Phil, Ratdog, SCI, countless others) and the Grateful Dead Archive, is having a fundraiser. If I'm not mistaken, it's the first time since it was founded in 1996 that they've appealed for money on the site. If you're anything like me, you've had endless free hours of joy there for over a decade.

I know everybody's money is probably tied up with Christmas, but $5? $10? You can probably do something, right?

Sadly, you may not be able to. For whatever reason, they only accept PayPal, Amazon's rival service, and Bitcoin. All of which require (varying levels of ) tech sophistication. Seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot by not taking credit cards directly, but maybe the fee structure was prohibitive.

Didn't you say your daughter or wife or somebody helps you with stuff on the desktop computer? Ask if they have a PayPal account, I guess...

yes, my daughter helps me

I get two tech questions a day now, but no rollover questions. But she does have paypal so it might be a cash deal for me. As fair as the tech sophistication I am still a kindergartner (in the old sense and tense) but last night I discovered the place that makes my iPhone look like the computer, and tried to send a photo but it said the file was too big. Baby steps and soon I'll be running
