While all eyes are on the "Core Four" to see how the members of the Grateful Dead will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2015, bassist Phil Lesh has announced the formation of a new band dubbed Communion. Communion will play a two-set show at Terrapin Crossroads on January 31.
Phil will be joined in the new project by guitarists Stu Allen, Ross James and Grahame Lesh as well as drummer Alex Koford and special guest Jason Crosby. We look forward to seeing what the new group is all about on the 31st. In case you missed it, Phil Lesh will also lead a twice-a-month series of concerts at Terrapin Crossroads in 2015 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead.
What happens if I take both?
