Robert Earl Keen's new bluegrass album is released today. I've heard a couple cuts on the radio including Mother Mabell Carter's "East Virginia" and it's really good. He's got his band so the music has a good blend of solid Texas Bar Band rock along with the grass sound.
His distinctive voice is also good with the songs, not the "high lonesome" stereotypical tone (some call it whiney-nasally) but much richer, so I think it will appeal to more than just bluegrass fans.
