Beer can only be consumed in the "Beer Garden"

Yeah, only venue prices. Ick!

That's why we decided not to go to Susquehanna Breakdown, a fest hosted by Cabinet. Turns out the whole thing, camping and all, takes place inside the venue. No food, no fires, no gas grills, no beer except vending. Scuh-REW that!

I don't see anything about additional artist announcements from last night's show....did they "hint" at anything?

Where is the venue in relationship to the racetrack or the Shakedown Stage location?

The stage is adjacent to, on north side of, the Oak Ridge camping area. Racetrack is north and a fair walk.

what a great show. had a great time. pre-gamed in the parking lot a little. was really impressed with the beer selection. not a single budweiser type beer in sight. local brew on tap to the left, local brew in cans to the right. beer garden sucked, but the beers they served were amazing. the garden was close enough that a lot of people set up chairs in the garden and still had a decent view. you could hear perfectly from the garden. got to hang out with The Other One and Critical Bill for a while. that made me quite happy! the opening bands were drab. TTB brought the fuck out of it. absolutely killed it. sound setup was superb. i didn't sit down once all night. danced my ass off. saw at least 2-3 tapers, so i'm hoping the show ends up somewhere. i talked to one of them and he said he doesnt post his online, but someone else might. :\ they ended with Space Captain, which they played with Black Crowes in 2013 at Lockn. I kinda went nuts at that point. the ended on such a high note. i had a GREAT time.
jeff, you know the big wood Lockn Farm entryway that you walked under to get to the venue from the camp grounds? that was to the left behind the stage a couple hundred yard, if that helps.
i talked to a lot of strangers and they came from all over: Pennsylvania, North Carolina, W Virginia, and across Va. Makes me think that Lockn has really made a reputation for itself, enough to draw people in from far away for just a one night show.

I agree about this being the best TTB performance on the farm. Other highlights included them doing Break in the road, the Angel from Montgomery medley, the extended Bass solo which was a result of Derek breaking a string, and a LOCKN bug attacking Susan, which at first she first recoiled from in fear but then playfully poke checked at it.

Okay, the so-called beer garden issue. Yes they did have good beer. I actually spent the afternoon at the BlueMountain Barrel Brewery. But there was one entrance into this beer garden area, enough for two people to stand side-by-side and they put a trashcan in the center.

This entrance served as the area you would show your ID and get a wristband, and for general entrance and leaving the area. It was also in the left back hand corner of where the audience would be.
And yes there was a spotlight brighter than anything that came from the stage to illuminate the evil drinking concertgoers. Thankfully no one exposed their breasts this time.
They need to get this sorted out with the ABC before September.
