Yea, lineup is pretty weak. I'd pay $120 for the weekend if it was within a 4 hours drive.

interesting: The Bridge-- a really nice band out of Baltimore; I saw them open for DSO--is listed even though they broke up in 2011. I would have wished them for Lockn but for their demise.
I'd also go see The Word and DSO, both of whom I've always wished for Lockn, and now JRAD from what I've learned here. 'Bout it.

Not sure about the youth vote with those bands. For sure not the old codger vote but someone in between. SOJA is just silly but that is because All Good/Walther (sp) is who manages them. Thievery Corp, Lotus & STS9 are all probably LATE night headliners. Lotus and STS9 have been in the past. And I have no problem with The Word getting slightly larger font but they are in no way what all the kidz are snapping their fingers and tapping their toes to.
Frankly I think it is a really solid lineup and if it were back at Marvin's I would be sorely tempted to go. You know if it wasn't for the whole going to Chicago the weekend before thing. I'm not a huge CAKE fan but I've never seen them, SOJA is ok but whatever, not a big fan of Boombox, I'm not a a big fan of Zoogma but again I've never seen them and I've never seen Judah & the Lion but I can imagine liking them.
So let's see... CAKE, SOJA, Boombox, Zoogma and Judah & the Lion. After that I actively like and would be stoked to see everyone else on the lineup. And CAKE, Zoogma and Judah & the Lion I'm happy to see for the first time.

Saw Cake at Roo last year. PASS. Dude seems like he doesn't even want to be there. Spends half the time ranting about bullshit. We left halfway through the show

Yeah, I've heard similar things elsewhere. But if I was somewhere they were playing I would check it out. Would blow if one of the headliners was the suck but I'm sure Primu and moe. would make up for it.

Yeah, I get that. And you are probably correct. They are and should be going after a younger audience than the two of us. Lockn, Wanee, Peach, Mtn Jam and GOTV pretty much have the east coast covered for us. All Good had been a fest that brought in Furthur, WSP, ABB, P&F etc as headliners and sold itself as a strictly jam fest with some Lotus, STS9, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights thrown in as a bonus. Maybe they do need to shift their demographic a bit downwards. But it's not like they are throwing Skrillex or Gramatik up there. Both Lotus and STS9 have been near the top of the listing when they have played. What stands out this year is both of them AND Thievery up there. SOJA is just stupid tho.
