A good. A whole new reason for some people to complain about Jerry spinning in his grave! I think it is a great idea. Not sure how well attended at regular theaters it will be versus at clubs or other music venues. Also wonder if this means no stream for home or if that will be available too.

A satirical blog called Thoughts on the Dead made a good point that I hadn't considered: what, exactly, is gonna happen during set break in those theaters. The Dead were known for extended sets that required extended recharge periods, so...do you expect a bunch of hippies in goodness only knows what mental condition to sit there patiently and quietly? Much has been made elsewhere of the lack of adult beverage, but I've seen the boys at many dry venues, so...
There's been plenty of griping that one is expected to maintain silence in a theater once the lights are down too, but I think that's more of a feature than a bug.

I went to some of the phish theater simulcasts during 2.0 and there didn't seem to be many major problems. You were given wristbands and could walk in and out just like a normal concert for smoke breaks etc. At least that was the experience in the theater I went to. It was a lot of fun too, music was loud and people were having a good time doing most of what they normally do but toned down a bit - someone even brought in a bunch of glow sticks.

Oh, I have tickets to all three days in Chicago. I'm just sick of people bitching without doing a modicum of research as to what they're upset about. I've laid out my reasons for bitching about Lockn', and anyway, It's all good now.At least you will be prepared. And they were the small ones, not the big ones if that helps at all.
I wonder if they'll do Levi's, too?
