Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
Just came out in February, so those jonesing for some grass, check it out. With Keen's voice it's not as nasally/whiney as traditional, which to my ears gets old fast--but it's true to form. Meanwhile with his depth and age, and his band's, the music has much more depth than most Newgrass artists. If you are just a REK fan like me, he draws out the "murder ballads" from 100+ years ago just like the characters his usually sings about. Think about Long Black Veil and then The Road Goes on Forever. Lyle Lovitt joins his old roommate for T for Texas. Good music for bourbon swilling! Please note: This forum is in no way officially associated with Lockn' Festival or its promoters.
