Robert Randolph and Family Band Friday night.

Lots of local talent, including Anthony Rosano and the Cockaroos (blues).

You all may know some of these artists better than I. I would love the benefit of your knowledge!

Lots of folk, Americana, the major draw for this crowd, as there are other fests. But they still try to do "a little something for everyone."

Also good food and the killerest fireworks Saturday night!

When I saw Sister Sparrow I was a little underwhelmed, personally. She has a good voice, but I think it is somewhat misplaced. They sang one blues song and she was amazing on that. Not quite as good on the rest of the songs. Sounded like a natural blues singer being shoehorned into a funk band. Probably just me, though.

I enjoyed them at the Jefferson, good show , especially when Shortys drummer sat in.

I heard a Sister Sparrow song on the radio the other day and thought it was good. I'll try to give her a listen.

Weather is now looking good; rain is not as constant* and temps are cool, breezes are up.

*here, they just keep it at "scattered showers" to be safe.

Hoping to make it over the bridge Friday for Robert Randolf & the Family Band. I really want to see Sister Sparrow. I kind of over promised my kid. Told her I would take her to the Oceanfront to see New Corduroy Commanders at Half Moon Music. Going to be a crazy Saturday.

For you local Tidewater folks, come on over to the Hampton Block Party next weekend. Jun 13 Col. Bruce Hampton and the Madrid Express / Big Something / The Dharma Initiative / Last Fair Deal (Grateful Dead Tribute). Free show downtown.
