450 Sq. Feet actually.  The only way the math works out for that is 15 x 30.  Which is about what I remember.

so put your car tight in one corner--at home, measure and mark 15x30 with your car in the corner. I had room (with a Tahoe) to put a 10x10 behind the car, then an 8x5 tent beside it, and room to spare--it was surprising.

And there's a little more elbow room b/c the layout has the "roadway" as well as aisles between campsites, so a corner spot is nice although you have some foot traffic.    Where I was, I don't think the spaces were back to back, so there was "roadway" at either end--plenty wide for breathing room. 

The traffic directing guys didn't seem to pack them in tight either, so you may get a bonus free space beside you (I came to VIP the second day so had a lot more options, but even the early ones weren't too tight. Can't speak for GA in that regard). And if a couple people go in together, not only can you configure within the greater combined space, you may be able to cajole a free space in there.

So if this tent is built specifically to let you sleep in what are other tents designed for? I need to know because I am tent camping this weekend and need to make sure I have the right one...

You can develop your film in this one, I suppose.

The other tents, especially the orange and yellow ones, are hangover simulator pods: bright intolerable light, dank clammy air, restricting movement and inducing cramped muscles on attempts to arise, all outside sounds seem to be right in your ear.
