Need a new tent

if it's something sturdy that will last me some years, 139 is doable. nice to hear how great it is, sounds like a winner, but, uh, any chance i can get a link or a make/model? lol

I have been tempted by that tent before waycha. You have to have a spare ez up though.

I like the looks of the eureka jade canyon 4. Almost pulled the trigger on one but then my canopy bit the dust.

I have been setting my small tent inside of a larger screen house. Hang tapestries and tarps on the sides and I have my own little compound.

My ez-up has solid sides that Velcro along the top, zip up the sides. Permanently affixed canvas roof. Very sturdy, not the one-time if your lucky cheapies. I think it was $160 at Costco, a little high but this was one of the rare times when the better quality appeared in the price. It has served my family well.

Last year it was my tent; I had a canvas tarp floor, army cot, cook area, etc. Rolled up the sides during the day, or hung "tapestries". It is also storm proof.

Yard sales are a good source for stuff, too.

Or get a cheapie and attach walls w/ tapestries or bed sheets.

ya, i wasnt planning on tossing the old one. i've just really wanted a taller one for a long time, and thought this was a good opportunity.

i really like the idea of the one that hangs up inside the ez up, but i only have one ez up. i'd have to get a 2nd one for shade... ugh. not rich enough, lol

the one lobster posted looks pretty sweet. nice and tall. im concerned that there wouldnt be enough room for this and an ez up in the tiny spots they give us. i guess i could just put the ez up over the tent for extra protection from the sun in the morning... hmmm. im so bad at pulling the trigger

Yea Sneake it's hard to pull the trigger with both Lobster & Smosey having good set ups, & Lockn' dose not give you much room. I only had room for my easy up with tent, but with the gate up on my suv next to my tent it gave me a small shade area. You just have to look at your needs, how much time are you at your campsite, you privacy, how much room do you want. Good luck. it will be interesting what you decide.

How much room do you have in your suv? I have a minivan that when I take out the seats I have room in the back for a raised aerobed. I've cannibalized an old screenhouse and attach the screening material over the open sliding side doors and the open back hatch with magnets, so now I have a totally non-leak "tent", with no set up or take down. I back it up to my EZ up so I can climb out the back and still be dry. I tried this at Bonnaroo and it worked like a charm!

As far as tents, check out Sierra Trading Post online and you can get some killer deals on some great brands of tents, like Kelty, Marmot and Big Agnes. Get a good brand and take care of it, and it'll treat you well for many years!

Wow, for what you pay for SVIP you should get more space...maybe 40 acres and a mule?

 You got that right. I was on the road side but if I have to slip some extra money to park on the other side this year they didn't have anyone behind them so they could park behind their spots for more space.
