Ice and coolers?

Good advice.

also, chill everything before you put it in the cooler. And chill the cooler w/ ice blocks before packing.

Freeze plastic bottles from today until the fest starts. They keep the cooler cold longer, can be drinking water when they thaw, and keep the cooler contents dry.

Put a layer of newspaper inside the top of the cooler.

Separate your stuff into different coolers: highly perishable food in one (meat, real cheese--keep coldest; don't open often); non-perishable in another (condiments, juice, mixers, produce, fake cheese); beer in a third. And a fourth. And a fifth. Open in succession.

I've looked at those Yetis but the price has driven me away. I can buy a lot of ice with the money...

They claim to work as well as dry Ice. Has anyone used these?

Last year my husband cut some 1" energy star insulation board to line the inside of our food cooler. It worked great. Plus, we kept both our coolers covered with a quilt & tarp which helped, too.

Cool idea, I have thought about making a coozie for my cooler with reflectix (think mylar bubblewrap) in the past. The thin stuff is R 4.2, would help for sure.
