Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
I found the selection limited once you disregarded the lites and the non-beers. The tent was OK and you could sit outside and see/hear OK. free water was nice and the best for convenience and saving was the beer/water in the VIP viewing section pricing about $2 less for premium beer than outside. Please note: This forum is in no way officially associated with Lockn' Festival or its promoters.
VIP- Beer selections and pricing
Post by Flufhead on Aug 20, 2015 17:18:09 GMT -5
Was there a true beer/flavor variety to choose from in the VIP bars? What's the difference in pricing? Were the VIP beer tents comfortable enough to hang out in while being close enough to the stages?
I don't plan on drinking a ton, per say, but I do like trying different things, and has been posted elsewhere, there seems to be quite a few brewers coming that need to be sampled. Just wondering. Thanks.

Off to the side and back from the stage are two tents: A SVIP where they have concerts, separate bathrooms, and presumably a bar; that one is closer to the stage. What else is in there is a mystery to me, though I got a peek when I tagged along with an "ALL ACCESS" friend one night.
Then there is a large VIP tent with a bar, which is where they serve the VIP food. it has tables, chairs, sofas, and a lame AC system that's best not used. Nearby are VIP bathrooms in the VIP camping area.
Starr Hill had a private "meet and greet" tent set up in line with the food tent, too.

SVIP has a separate tent with good food and a crappy bar. The drink choices in the GA area are better, I can't remember about the cost.
VIP has a separate larger tent, you can choose to pay extra for the food or go on your own. I am not sure about the bar, I think it had more choices than SVIP. Yes, there is a bar in the VIP section by the stage. Behind the sound stage.

Your shoulder rides aside, this just about says it all.

the best thing about VIP is its just closer, can hear from the campground and miss less music while going back and forth.
Might get more sleep in the morning since it's slightly less crowded and the neighbors are older.
Im in my 50s, spent a lot of time backpacking and such when I was younger, I would be perfectly happy in GA though I wouldn't get much sleep. My wife has a real bad back and is harder to please, therefore we go VIP or SVIP. My wife is a doctor so generally she gets what she wants!
