I'm just wondering how in the world are they going to be able to handle the logistics of doing this?
I'm not taking any chances and so I have packed my gear in the event that this might turn out to be a cluster****.
Besides, I don't really like to have to rely on others if I can do it myself, so I've planned my gear accordingly.
Here is how I'm going to do this, and I would like to hear others suggestions too.
I bought a folding Luggage Cart w/wheels at WallyWorld for $23 to carry my Tupperware food box, and cook stove. This thing claims to hold up to 75 pounds.
My Cooler is also on wheels and has a handle and I can put other stuff on it.
Everything else like my tent, canopy, banner pole, and back pack has shoulder straps. The only thing I will need to carry by hand is my cot, and a 5 gallon bucket.
I will probably park the car and then just take the canopy and tent to mark my territory. Once established I will make a second trip for all the other gear.
This should be interesting, I am going alone, but I'm meeting up with about 30 people from my fb group that I have never even met in person before. Hopefully we will all be able to set up near each other...This is gonna be Fun!! Can't wait!!

You can't let go and you can't hold on,
You can't go back and you can't stand still,
If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will.

Full of contradictions.
And that’s why it hurts so bad sometimes
But that’s also why its fun"

I just want to be able to move out after the music ends Sunday night. I'm in car camping.

As for packing, I do a bit of backpacking so fortunately much of my gear is ultralight and small, and I bring dehydrated backpacking meals. It's not gourmet but a few hot meals and starbucks VIA coffee will get me by for a few days and help reduce my spending a little! I can get most everything in my main backpacking pack, and then I wear a second smaller day pack on the front. With water, I can do about 75# and it sucks but better to get it all in one trip than make multiple trips, that way you've got everything you need to get set up, and then get off to see the music! Normally I wouldn't backpack with much more than 30# but for a mile our two I can tough it out. I'll bring a few extras for a festival like a rug for outside the tent, that I wouldn't take to say, the bottom of the grand canyon, but really I just don't bring too much stuff. I can't believe the stuff people haul around. But then again, I've seen people hiking in the grand canyon with some weird stuff, too. I bring in a lot of water. I'm amazed at the long lines I often see at festivals to refill water. Ridiculous that the don't have better water refill facilities at these things, talk about not providing the necessities.
If you plan to bring anything with wheels, the bigger the wheels the better and the more wheels the better. Those wagons with the big wheels are perfect. Two wheel carts with small wheels or the coolers with the two small wheels, not so good off road. A baby stroller might be a good idea, small wheels but you've got four instead of two.
Good luck!
