I underwent surgery Aug. 29th for a broken hip. I was released from the hospital the following day and the surgeon has said there is no reason I could not still attend the festival. I am walking using a rolling walker and have been taking minimal pain meds and feel like I can do this. I am going VIP so why not?

Absolutely go! I had gall bladder surgery 2 weeks before All Good, a couple of years ago. Still had a great time, was a bit more tired than usual, but still glad I went. We did VIP that year and it really helped. We'll be in svip for this one...I'll bring something pretty to decorate your walker or chair with. You need battery operated lights of some sort...time to trick out Judie's "ride"

Immediately following rotator cuff repair surgery, I took off onto Phil & Friends tour (way back in 2001)...best decision I ever made! Instead of focusing on what I couldn't do, I was focused on what I could. Talk to your Doctor about a handicap pass too...this will grant you access to handicap bathrooms & viewing areas that even VIP can't get to, which will make your time there much easier to enjoy.

I will call the doc’s office Tuesday morning before we leave town. Maybe a note will do. Of course I have hospital discharge papers maybe Lockn’ will take that into consideration.

I am still looking for a chair.

Broke my ankle a couple of years ago and subsequently developed avascular osteonecrosis. It can be caused by drinking too much while your bones heal, so watch your alcohol intake.

I'll be limping along and relying on my cane, but I'm still walking so I'm sure that I can dance.

Thanks for the advice. I am still on pain meds so I’m not planning to partake in too much alcohol.

For me the dancing will be hard to avoid.
