Has anyone inquired to CID about how they will handle people lining up prior to the gates opening for this year? Now that we all enter from the same side, I'm having trouble picturing where they can accomodate everyone. I remember reading they had portas the 1st or 2nd year and that they were in bad shape.

GA comes in one place from 29; VIP comes in another place via 56 loop around; RV in a third place on the 56 loop.
But my understanding is that CID only handles VIP matters.
Looks like a field (day parking) at the GA entrance so that's probably where early arrivals would hole up.

Other thought.... Will they fill RV from back to front or vice versa? In looking at the map and RV entrance, it seems logical that they would fill front to back.

Lockn' sent me the email with the info finally today. Entrance is same as last year for SVIP. We go in across from the McDonald's on front street, 3 miles north from the main entrance then follow all the back roads around. Glad I kept my map from last year.

Any thoughts on how they will fill VIP car camping this year? Not sure whether to arrive mid-morning or early afternoon on Thursday (bloody early is not in the cards).

no bathrooms the first year that i could find anywhere. 2nd year plenty of porto's and they were not bad at all. maybe whoever you heard that from was there well into the day time?Has anyone inquired to CID about how they will handle people lining up prior to the gates opening for this year? Our crew is meeting at the local shopping center at 3 am. We will be in line at 3:45 am. After that brutal drive I may need a nap.
In all seriousness I realize how fortunate that I am that these are essentially hometown shows for me. I certainly appreciate the time, effort and expense that is involved for folks traveling here from all over the world.
Can't wait to see you freaks...one more wake up.

We have a crew rolling in from out of town this evening to crash at our house. Our plan is to leave at 4 and be in line by 4:45 (5 at the latest).

Very grateful to have a short drive to the Farm. We are planning on leaving our house around 8:30ish so that we arrive around 10ish (I say ish because I'm horrible at time management - realistically, we will probably end up rolling in there at 11). Last year, we got there around 11 and had no problem getting in & to our camp site. I think we waited like an hour & 1/2 or so? Maybe I'm wrong, but it didn't seem like it was that long of a wait. Of course, we started drinking at that point, which helped pass the time. I don't anticipate it being any different than last year. Either way, rain or happy sunshine - I can't wait to see all you fine folks tomorrow!!! WOOOOOOOO!!!!!

We're gonna get all our last minute shit together and pack the car after supper. Planning to be on the road by 10. If we drove straight through, we'd be there about 3ish, but we won't. Basically, it'll be a trip from Sheetz to Sheetz. I imagine by 4 or so, certainly prior to dawn or the gates opening.
