Faith in Humanity

This is kinda more generally inspirational, but it restores my faith in...the universe to think that David Foster Wallace even existed. Of course that faith is challenged when I think of his battle with and subsequent loss to what most folks consider a "garden-variety" mental illness.

An unsung hero. He willingly suffered being ostracized by his own country, until well past his death, to fight for racial equality in the world. A great man, and a great gesture. He deserves to be recognized by more people

Just watched this and am tearing up at work. Never heard the story before. Thanks for sharing this.

 In northeast Indiana & northwest Ohio you see a lot of this. It's cool how the farmers look after each other. A post talked about the Amish, When a barn burns down they are out there the next day rebuilding, & it takes them no time at all to put up a new strong barn. 
 We have a lot of Amish around here so you don't think much about them. The shopping malls around the outside of town have cover ports for them to park their horse & wagon under. The funny thing is they are trying to put thru a bill that would make them have fanny packs on the horses to catch there poop. Traveled a lot around the back roads & know to watch & share the road.
