It was on local TV in Lexington. I was lucky I ran across it changing channels
Hope this all comes out OK, not used to typing on a phone.

The SVIP looked like they had sold a lot more tickets this year. That rail area was much more crowded this year than last.
I don't really have a sense of VIP.

I am going to snoop around for some real numbers.
From my observation: first it seemed like a whole lot bigger crowd Friday and Saturday night than last year.
The VIP viewing area on the ground was bigger--a wider pie shape rather than a rectangle. That suggests more VIP sales--but also crowds the two GA areas on the sides to seem more crowded. But at times the VIP viewing area was more crowded than last year.
One indicator was that VIP car camping was over-sold, with people setting up in the roads, while last year there were acres of empty spaces on Steeple Chase hill. But I didn't see much, if any, VIP car camping on the infield--anyone else know? That would push more people to the hill, and also the hill had a large SVIP section fenced off, as well as prefab tents at the bottom in SVIP as well as the glamping on top of the hill. Last year, no fences on the hill so I don't know what was SVIP v VIP-or was SVIP over on the left, where ADA was this year?
Lots of VIP RV's this year, too.
All this makes me think the VIP is a major part of the market, which goes along with the observation of the large percent of people over 40, many way over 40 (including those on stage!). That demographic would be more likely to pay more and want better facilities--so the way they were screwed this year, the promoters have some serious damage control to do--VIP/SVIP have to be big profit centers for them.
