Musicphan - Here's my plan (for what it's worth) and I am VIP as well - Live in Fredericksburg, VA so @2hr 15min drive - I am going to get up 6am pack the cooler (everything else is ready in the car) and should be on the road no later than 6:30am....then I am either going to smoothly entire the VIP area (I have a Pre-Set Up Tent...that may or may not be still blowing down Rte 29) and pop the top on my breakfast beer OR I am going to sit "patiently" for 3 hours in line to get into the venue. Either way I "think" I should be on site into time to join John Popper with the National Athem.

Thanks, man. Starting to think waiting in line is better than waiting at home up to a point. Also, and this is totally nitpicking but for the sake of discussion, if they are parking everyone back to front, I wouldn't mind letting a bunch get in before me. Was going to stop off at the grocery for some dry ice before I hit the road. Thinking I'll get there around 10:30 - 11 range and hope that gives me time to set up.

People are already lined up on property. Passed by couple hours ago. Friend was just there and they said they are not making people leave

Asked a stranger for help in Lynchburg and he turned out to be someone I had not seen for 50 years since freshman year of high school. We are both from Vermont .he lives in Florida and I still live in Vermont what are the odds!

Hey everyone! We're pretty much in the dark as far as when to get in line, as is everybody! We're at a days inn in Roanoke about 1.5 hrs away from the farm. The tentative plan is to head out around 3:30 AM to hopefully get in line around 5ish. Just wanna avoid being rerouted by the cops. If anyone gets any updates on the line/gate situation, any info you can share would be awesome! If not, I guess we'll all be patiently hanging out on the side of the road waiting to kickoff an awesome weekend

I ended up going to Devils Backbone after getting the lead on this thread, and it was excellent all around. Lots of space for camping for RVs, cars, and tents, and a great venue with beer, food, and live music. Many Lockn refugees. Thanks for the tip. Good warmup and staging for Lockn...we should make it a Wednesday tradition next year.
