Parking pass now: will call or just buy it there

Call me unprepared, I don'thave a car parking pass (day tripping).  If I buy it now, it'll be at will call.  Is that advantageous over just showing up with cash?  I was hoping for some kind of print at home scannable parking pass option, sadly no.
