I recall last year that long long line of porta's on the back fence; when they were not there this year when I was scoping out the scene, and only a handful up front, I said we are in for a shitstorm here.

Since it sounds like this year forest camping was a letdown both as a distance-access issue (acc to another commenter) and overselling availability, I will have to weigh other options. Thanks & I'll look for more details around the "Looking Back" boards. I had a lot of fun at Lockn2013 despite first-year hangups, sunburn & sleep loss; but it was my first time at a days-long camping music fest so I've little to compare it with. I'm counting on the organizers making the setup fair and value-worthy even when unforeseen circumstances interfere~
TL;DR: If you had fun in '13, you'll cruise through '16.
And then I will really have to figure, because no matter how ready *I* may be, I am at the behest of a festival organizing team who themselves may not be ready. It's especially troubling how the port-o'potty system sounds like was inadequate, and I know how it was firsthand in 2013. While I didnt' plan to go this year, I had friends returning for it, and watched the forecast thinking of them and wondering if the most I should worry about for 2016 would be a good rainproof tent and probably car camping rather than tent-only. And I started visiting these boards, and told myself "Wow if boisterously chatty 'wookies' are prevalent enough to ruin hearing a good show, what to do?" Haha, that would end up LEAST of anyone's worries as it turns out, eh?
And I very much am feeling for Frey, also the other guy, and all who were forced to scramble for solutions thanks to the storm's damage. I sympathize; but I don't like long car lines at all and while I can self-rely for water/ food/ shelter, it's too rude and crude to not be able to relieve oneself?!
So as others continue to "look back" and maybe a thread about "What to Do Differently Next Time", as well as seeing how Lockn organizers promote next year's show in upcoming email alerts, will determine if I'm willing to take my chances.
