How did your checklist plans wokr out?

one stack of clean clothes to put on in the morning will prompt a small drip leak immediately above it, no matter where you place it in the tent.

Been perfecting my list since 2008, but I still keep bringing too much stuff. Next time, I'm just cutting everything in half. Food, clothes, junk...

Way too many clothes, way too much food, way too much beer, way too much liquor. Guess I will try again in a couple of weeks for Festy.

As far as ice goes lots of people recommend dry ice but if you pack properly it is an unnecessary expense, in my opinion. I take the money that dry ice would cost and buy more beer.

I took a Yeti 65 cooler, filled it with beer and water and then added 20 pounds of ice. I then took a Coleman 5 day cooler and placed two 20 pound bags of ice and a bunch of blocks that I had frozen. I loaded these coolers on Wed. afternoon. Since Thurs. was cancelled I did not open either of these coolers until Friday when I opened the Yeti. On Saturday I drained some of the water from the Yeti (don't drain it all, this water is almost as cold as the ice) and then took all of the ice that was left in the Coleman and topped off the Yeti. Still had plenty of ice when I got home. Good thing because I only heard the ice truck come though once about 9 am and I sure as hell wan't getting up then.

I can highly endorse cots and kitty litter toilets. We brought way too much beer, too. Agree dry ice is unnecessary. Good coolers and a little technique is much cheaper.

My ice lasted longer, too, but it was much cooler, and cloudier, this year. Plus I had the benefit of the extra day; packed the coolers Thursday afternoon and bought ice in C-ville Thursday night. And not opening them makes all the difference.

I had one of the tall water coolers that I filled with ice blocks* then bought one small chunk of dry ice to set on top, didn't open until Saturday; all still frozen but dry ice gone. Then I could replace my now melted ice blocks.

I, too, brought way too much food and beer, but didn't alter my quantities after the cancellation; I didn't cook for my neighbors like I did last year or even as much for myself. You never know how it will work out. Plus I focused more on attending more music to make up for the missed day, rather than lounging around the homestead.
