I just saw JRAD at Green River Festival in the Berkshires in western MA this past weekend. While they were tuning up I noticed someone toss back his gray hair over behind the keyboard. I was delighted to see Jeff Chimenti sitting in on keys. It was a great show! Franklin's Tower was really rocking. I danced so hard that my right knee kinda gave out on me ... but I kept on dancing anyway.

I really like hearing them do Franklin's. Who sang on it? Did they have a guest singer?

If you want to go hardcore in your mental prep, I heartily suggest his Emperor Concerto (Piano Concerto No. 5) in its entirety. The most perfect 40 minutes of continuous music I have ever heard. First movement is nothing short of incredible and the second movement is the most achingly beautiful music I've ever heard. And then the transition from the second to the liveliness of the third? Daaaaammmmmnnnn. Jambands that pride themselves on transitioning between songs need to give that a listen.

And of course his entire 7th and 9th Symphonies aren't exactly crap either.
