Miles is amazing and a genius but sometimes too much so for his own good. I have come around to bebop and can't bring myself to play my Bitches Brew album I bought when it came out, then shelved. I bet I'd like it now. But when the music theory guys leave me in the dust with "that flattened 5th right on top of the minor subtonic was outstanding" I just need another Scotch.

7 Come 11 new album Universe Out Of Time - great funk duo out of California with some real heavy and unique stuff. I saw them live and you really need to see them to appreciate it, but this album is a weird and solid effort till they are coming to your town.
