It suddenly occurred to me today, that I refuse to wait until next year for another music festival. I'm totally hooked and will need a fix soon. Where do ya'll go to see whats available? I'm looking for Virginia specific locations but all I can find are weekend festival stuff not pure music. Thanks for your help!!

I would love to go to hullaween, dont think its in the cards though.
I haven't been on in awhile but I know that jambase.com used to have a pretty extensive list of festivals that you could narrow down by dates and region.

How about American Roots Music & Arts Festival!?!? I'm going this weekend in Raleigh, N.C! Eric Church (2 Nights) • Modest Mouse • Sheryl Crow • The Roots • Willie Nelson • Warren Haynes • Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros • Grace Potter • Tedeschi Trucks Band • Chris Stapleton • Railroad Earth • Leftover Salmon • Greensky Bluegrass • Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Alot of Lockn Lumni artists. Excited to see The Roots and Edwin Sharpe! Eric Church & Modest Mouse, I'll give them a shot, but the rest of the lineup is sic!!!

Tedeschi Trucks was awesome as usual! Railroad Earth didn't disappoint. Chris Stapleton was a nice surprise. Leftover Salmon was a little of a letdown. But the Roots killed it!!! A musical moment with my wife of 29 years!!! Jungle Boogie into Sweet Child O'Mine into I Can't Feel My Face When I'm With You!!! You have to see them live! Modest Mouse killed the buzz. We'll see Eric Church tomorrow, maybe!

My little brother is always trying to hip me to the indie rock that he likes. Usually he's unsuccessful, but the one time he really reached me was with a Modest Mouse track called "Missed the Boat." It's on We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, the same album that "Dashboard*" is on.
Probably helps that Johnny Marr guests on that album and I was a fan of The Smiths back in the day.
*Charted on Billboard's Hot 100; only made it to #61. Topped out at #5 on the Modern Rock chart, though.

This band is so great. (i have a MM tattoo shhhh) listen to DRAMAMINE 5x straight and get ready for a party.
Actually sometimes (every 2 weeks) I'll put this song on repeat and watch ETERNAL SUNSHINE on mute
