Rainbow Bridge at Lake Powell was one of my favorite places as a child. That brought back memories. I went to the link and checked out a whole bunch of pictures. Thank you!

the road used to go over it. A lot of interesting history there; Geo. Washington surveyed it; they used to drop lead off it to make bullets; it's privately owned and has been through a lot of squabbles especially when its interest as a resort waned.
So now you know why they located it in the county named Rockbridge.

Bah, I wouldn't/won't go to Natural Bridge as long as it is privately owned. I honestly do not think that the arrangement has provided a good stewardship of the site.
Of course growing up near there I have already been there quite a few times, so it is easy for me to say.
