My favorite Zappa tale was when he was constantly sparring with Tipper Gore over her campaign to ban, or if not, label and restrict, "naughty" lyrics in published music. He released "Jazz from Hell"; she stickered it; it was all instrumental.
And he threw one of his guitarists out of the Mothers--he liked the guy's ability, but he wrote a drug-related song and FZ had a zero tolerance policy. The guitarist? Lowell George. The song? "Willin'". Funny how things work out.
And think of all the dental floss tycoons he inspired....

There was this girl, back in college late 70's, whose real name was Dinah Moore and those who knew FZ called her Dynamo (Dinah Mo') short for Dynamo Hum. And then they'd recite some lyrics....Poor girl.
