As of now, the jury in my head is still out as to whether the version of With A Little Help From My Friends was better at Lockn' or the Xmas Jam. I'm a fan of Chris Robinson so I really loved what he did with the song. But man, Tedeschi hit some notes at Xmas Jam that I didn't even know were humanly possible. I felt kind of bad for Dawes for having to follow that set. While I enjoyed all the later music that night, in my humble opinion the night peaked with the TTB set. I would be inclined to agree, and such a mellow song in a shortened setlist does seem like a poor choice. But I thought the version at Xmas Jam was absolutely amazing and moving. In fact I probably would have enjoyed it a whole lot more if the drunk chicks behind me could have moved their sorority meeting elsewhere. As far as Desolation Row, it always puzzled me how Bob could remember all those verses perfectly but somehow could never remember the lyrics to his own songs. Are any of you from Delmarva heading to DC in late February for any of the TTB shows at the Warner? I read that they have been reprising some of the Mad Dogs set in their recent shows. Will be there on the 27th.

Bird On A Wire is a great tune, by an even greater songwriter, but it stops the show colder than Bobby doing Desolation Row. Gimme Darling Be Home Soon any ol' time.

I'll be at the Saturday night show on the 27th. Yea the Christmas Jam had a lot of loud conversations that I had to bob and weave through, but even so found a tolerable zone to go to another place during Bird on a Wire. Hope everyone has a happy new year

Xmas jam is at a wide open venue but I wonder if the acoustics suck so you can hear your neighbors on the floor or wherever you were. drunk chicks must be almost as annoying as accidentally bumping into an old l head standing there with his eyes unblinking and bugging out to the intense rendition of ship of fools, as he flashbacks on that hot chick back in the 80s who yelled, Jerry, abandon ship! Abandon ship, Jerry! She was like a Greek goddess. Dude, he was like peaking out and her long blonde hair was flowing in rainbows. Dude, coming around y'all, no I want to hear st Stephen, not ship of fools, but where am I, wheres the girl, where's my groin, what happened? Then it's must have been the roses, the girl is up front, closer to the stage, a fake rose by her ear, swaying, smiling, knowingly, this is intense. This is real. Then I bang into him in the present, and he isn't pleased.

Ugh, it gets even worse! Tickets for Hershey and Philly went on sale today, and the cheapest seats are over $72! Not that they aren't worth it, cause they are, but it sucks to be priced out.
