The summer before Lockn' 2 (Electric Boogaloo), RS did a top 50 list of the best festivals in the country. Lockn' failed to make the cut. Yeah, it was still new but they'd already had one year with a stellar lineup and had another one planned. Of course, there is the little matter of Frey and Shapiro being connected to a rival publication.
At any rate Lockn' was selected as "Best Jam Festival 2015" by Festival Snobs, who apparently let jam band fans and festy kids vote on it. Sorta a People's Choice Awards for jam fests.

Man, there was a time when it was more about the music. I don't think Jann would've treated Bill Graham like that, and not just because Graham didn't own a small music rag.
