They have been in Bartow, WV for the past 5 years or so at Camp Hidden Meadows. Way way different environment than All Good. It was up in the mountains in Pochahontas County and everything was cool there. It's a small festival and the annual benefit to the local economy outweighed any temporary gain to be made by busting every car with a busted tail light. When the cops would come at night to check it out they would bring the family and stay in their car. Extremely chill.

Not sure about this new location. It is near the county seat in Randolf County. Still middle of nowhere. Elkins is only about 7,500 people and it's the big town in the county. The venue looks to be well established and they have had hippie mountain music fests there before. The owners of the venue look to be associated with a band called Zen and with Sunshine Daydream and Trip in Alta Vista.

The new All Good site was way out in the Eastern panhandle of the state. An hour from DC and Baltimore. The Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crime Task Force were hot to prove that they needed all of their SWAT and War on Drugs gear.

In a report to the Jefferson County Commission Monday, Widmeyer said state police had a $74,520 contract directly with festival promoter Walther Productions to cover the agency’s additional costs of providing police services, and used $64,845 of that amount. Widmeyer said he would like to have many more uniformed troopers on hand should the festival return.

It is seriously kick ass and only $115 including car camping. The folks that put it on are awesome. Really tough having Lockn change dates and making it a Peach>Barefoot>Lockn sandwich. They also have to negotiate 5 different radius clauses from other festivals.
