Probably not much snow here. 1-2" is current thinking but we are kind of skating the line and a shift one way or the other could mean 0 or it could mean 4-6". Snow doesn't really matter. The real issue is how much ice. 1/4-1/2" ice from freezing rain and then some high winds spells trouble for tree limbs and power lines. The maps show us in the "Possible" to lose power zone while not far to our west is a big ass "Probable" to lose power zone. Work is already cancelled for tomorrow. Whatever.

Snowmageddon would have been my next choice.

ONLY a month? OK that would work. I get a kick out of Indiana every year trying to push thru Sunday carry out sales. Bars are open but no carry out. I don't care because I always have plenty. If a spontaneous party broke out I would have it covered.

Northeasters blow the gulf stream closer to shore, and blow across it, bring wet but relatively warm temps--always above freezing--along this part of the coast. That same wet air hits colder temps inland, even just 100 miles, causing the big snow dumps. So while our northeasters can be worse than hurricanes, they are seldom cold. Here.

Sometimes we get the cold NW wind push into the wet NE wind to give us a dump, or worse, if the cold airs comes in on the rain, ice storms. Not predicted this time.
