Lockn' Festival Website

So much new stuff. Everything except a new lineup...which will determine exactly how willing I am to fight for the right to take vacation at a crappy time of year.

I replied to the email for what it is worth mentioning the idea of a lineup before the refund deadline. I suppose it comes under the ' that and 50 cents gets you a cup of coffee' but I tried anyway......

I guess the other site was a bit old school and probably more work for them but I did like it. Better if they can focus on the music........

Yes, smater for the fest. But that isn't what that decision is neccessarily based on. The bands want to sell tickets to their shows moreso than to festivals they are appearing at. I could totally understand Phish and DeadCo not allowing their names to be released as part of the Lockn lineup until after their tickets went on sale.

Folks (alumni) on fb are beginning to ask if lumni tickets will be offered to those who did not previously purchase tickets due to the Sept. dates not being workable for them, but now the Aug. dates are.

Yeah, I'm wondering since every bit of info has been wiped out, if they are restructuring the entire setup.

Guess we'll find out eventually...maybe when we get there.

I haven't seen it defined anywhere, but my guess is that it's the portion Lockn' purchased last year. www.nelsoncounty-va.gov/event/lockn-festival/2016-08-24/   Purely speculation here, but with the on going uncertainty of the exact location of the proposed pipeline, having the land in a preserve MAY help protect the property from the pipeline route. The farm isn't currently in the proposed path, but adjustments are still being made. 

I think I recall Frey or Shapiro saying last year they had multi year lease on the farm, I thought 10 years.  I could be completely wrong.  I also thought they said they did a lot of infrastructure work around the stage to bury cables.  Again, I could be completely misremembering (to quote Roger Clemens about Andy Pettit).
I think the layout will be pretty much the same.  I wonder if the name change has to do with something like zoning, land use status, environmental related, etc...  All just guesses.

ps. I am passed the impatient point for an announcement, or even an announcement about an announcement.  If I did not live so far from the Peach and so close to Lockn I would really consider my options, especially if Mule does not play Lockn.
