If I hadn't bought Lumni my costs would have risen $650. As it was they increased $250. No matter, I have ten different ways I can justify buying these memories, I just need to pick one. Plus my kids want to go this year so that's like another $800.

Thanks, my son was a member. I replied as I think that something else could have been done to offer student tickets. Easy to just require a valid student ID for entry, no ID, you pay the difference. Like I said before we didn't purchase 'lumni passes because after having gone for the past two years I didn't want the kids to miss school again. Date change made it possible, but it would have been honorable for them to offer the 'lumni passes. I figured I would just buy one adult and two student passes, but with the price increase and no option for us to get student passes, I just can't make it happen this year.

I didn't see any option on the website, to purchase daily tix, only the whole package? From reading this forum, it looks like coming for a day or 2 may have been an option in the past. Based on past years, day tickets will be an option. They go on sale pretty late, though. If you are coming for 2 days, it is pretty much worth it just to buy for the whole thing. They aren't cheap.

Single day tickets don't go on sale until closer to the festival dates.

Thanks for the responses everyone! Myself and small core group will be there the whole time for sure. I have a couple buddies that live within a few hours, that may want to come out for one of the days and soak in some music. Just wanted to know if that was an option and it sounds like it probably will be, assuming tix don't get sold out. Really appreciate the quick responses too! I haven't been to a festival in years and a couple buddies and I literally decided 2 days ago after we saw the lineup that we were going. So this moved very fast for us and 2 of us are flying from Denver and the other from ND, so I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible and see what are options are. I can't wait to see what the rest of the lineup brings!

Having been many times to some of Shapiro's places, I would say that they would oversell before they sellout. That's been my experience at least.

You should be offended. Sounds like it could be a mistake? Were the fees disclosed anywhere? I wonder if it would be worth a call to them?

One thing that galls me about the BS fees is how they compound them when you buy multiple tickets. I could swallow, barely, one transaction or shipping fee per order, if it were reasonable, but not per ticket when they are put in the same envelope or processed at the same time!

And where there is no option to avoid the BS charges, I'd rather they just jack up the whole ticket price and not tell me.
