Bathrooms/Porto Johns Main Stage (and elsewhere)

Everybody answered about the toilets. ..we are going to have one just for backup if the port is get too disgusting but I doubt we use it. We will use our camping shower and tent because walking a long way to ShowerWorld and payt $10 per shower for what amounts to three drips isn't worth it.

Lots of people dropping a regular garbage bag of human waste into a trash barrel would be a hazard, on site, in removal and down the waste stream.

Last year, on move-out day, I saw where someone abandoned one of those portable marine toilets (heads).

Not a bad idea, IF you take it home.

 I really don't think it's a big health hazard but a lot of people think so. Some of the same people that dump dog & cat waste in the garbage & think nothing about it, or puke in a bag & throw it right in the garbage. As long as you get that liner, that Worf mentioned, to the garbage were all ok.

southernman brings up an excellent point that we've really been focusing on potties and not on showers. I just can't bring myself to pay $10 for a shower. So I keep a good supply of baby wipes on hand for daily cleanup. And I also bring a solar shower with me. I throw it on top of the car to warm up the water, then hang it from my EZ-up to wash my hair once or twice during the fest. Works like a charm, and for the cost of two pay showers it's kept my hair festy-gorgeous for several years!

For the folks that let their kids play in the "mud" right outside the urinals to the right side of the stage for hours on end, there's a reason that mud never dried out. While there was a reasonable excuse for the lack of port o potties, they could have gotten someone in there after hours and simply fix the visible leaks in the pvc pipes that was causing the mess. It appeared about 50% was making it to its intended location.
