Bathrooms/Porto Johns Main Stage (and elsewhere)

Last year they had them set up to the left and right of the stages and also urinal areas "screened off" next to the portos where the guys or gals could go in. There were still some issues with those, but overall better than the 2014 set up IMO. Hopefully, they will bring in more this year for camping areas as well as the main venue.

The one thing I can say about my two years in GA car camping: Portas have been sufficient in number and cleaned when they needed it.

I think I fixed the countdown, but I'm not at a desktop, so I can't see it. It's possible I made it worse. If it's still wrong, let me know and I'll fix it when I get home.

I don't know what kind of wacky clock Sneake ordered from the clock store, but I swear I had to input July 28th to get the countdown right.

This will be my first Lockn, in fact only 2nd music festival overall. The thing I am most anxious about is the portapotty situation. We will be in GA Car Camping. The only other festival I’ve been to was Magnaball, the Phish festival last year, and I was able to stay in “Glen Close” which was their upgraded camping option with toilet trailers that were nicer than portapotties. At least the women’s trailer was. My husband said the men’s trailer was gross most of the time. There was also a nice shower area that was included with the camping. But at Lockn’ we are unable to swing the price difference for VIP. So I’m looking at portapotties and pay showers.

What kind of advice would you have, especially experienced GA campers? Do a lot of people bring their own camping toilets with the little separate tents to go over them? I don’t really want to do that, but I will if it sounds like the best option.

I've never had many issues with the portas either by the stage (though I make a point of going to the ones furthest from the stage to avoid lines) or in GA car camping. I find that Lockn' gets them cleaned out pretty regularly. Just carry extra paper and you should be fine. I've actually had much worse luck with the portas at small fests. My plan is to invest in a She-Wee this year, but not because of Lockn'....much more because of the tiny fests where they don't clean out as often as they should.

Like Smosey Wales I wonder about the health hazard. That's why I won't sit near a fence or wall after the first day. The boy's will pee anywhere. I would have thought festivals would be on to this & have sanitary dumps for the tent toilets.

They don't need them. The liners are designed to go in a landfill. Did you guys think we were literally just shitting in a bucket?
