Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
In year 1, I was coming in separate from my buddies in the RV and had a car parking pass. They ended up stuck in the Field of Tears and Broken Dreams for so long, by the time I rolled in they were still there. I grabbed a few essentials (beer cooler, clothes, etc.) and jumped into the RV with them. We got parked up on RV ridge which was a serious hike from where my car was (with the pop up, cooking gear, food). We paid one of the golf cart guys to take us there and back. It was the wisest investment of the weekend. Please note: This forum is in no way officially associated with Lockn' Festival or its promoters.

There is one Shower place. It is out near the Woods stage. So it might be near your car camping, it might not. It is not real close to the GA Tent camping, but its not a horrible walk either. We did it our first year, but the water "pressure" consists of a couple drips, so we have a shower tent and bag now.
The port-o-pots were not terribly great, especially last year. They weren't great the year before either, but a bit more numerous so they didn't get destroyed quite as quickly. I tried to use the ones at Blue Ridge Bowl. We can also do a camp pooper and may do that this year. More of a problem for the wife than me.
There was a water trolley right in the middle of GA Tent both years. Last year it never got filled or turned on after the storm. Again, we were self-sufficient in that area.
The walk to the stage from GA tent was great year 2, not as good last year as there was a long-way round. No clue for this year.

You only need the tent-camping pass. The car parking pass is for day attendees.
We have done GA tent the past two years. Both years we basically walked our stuff the distance of crossing a road. Last year lots of people dropped stuff off at a space with their car or parked their car in their tent only site. That's not how it was supposed to go, but that's how it turned out. Some people bring a wagon to haul their stuff but we haven't and haven't needed it.
Yes, there are crappy showers a little wlak away, they have cost $10 per shower in past years.
Entry logistics have been a big problem in Lockns short history, so we are all hoping they do better in that area. There is no way to be very predictive about this. We arrived by 5AM both of the last 2 years and were set up by 8:30 the first year and maybe by 10 last year. Some people waited much longer in line. VIP and RV go in one road. All the GA car camping and tent only camping go in through the field. They sort/direct you once you are inside.

This was very helpful and detailed, thanks! That's something I noticed reading all the threads to, is that every year things have been slightly different and maybe even partially because of bad storms. I'm crossing my fingers the weather doesn't cause a cancellation of any of the performances like in years past.

Last year's traffic woes getting in was due to Thur being canceled and everyone arriving at the same time. I wouldn't expect the same cluster f*** this year.
