Biggest day sale of tickets ever

Let's not forget that previous years have seen much, much different lineup announcements. This is the first year that we got a proper "Line-up is Out - BOOM! Tickets are on sale" scenario (like a normal festival). Remember all those weeks where they only announced one band a day? Yeah, that doesn't exactly cause a single-day swell.

Of course, Phish certainly didn't hurt.

What I'm really saying is:

I totally agree with you, but I don't want people to freak-out and think that this festival is going to blow-up as a result of Phish's presence. I think ticket sales will be stronger out the gate, but it's not like Lockn is going to double in size. We will likely see a slight increase in attendance; but (hopefully) it results in the elimination of Daywalkers, with the in-venue population balancing out to feel comparable to previous years.

I think this will be the highest attendance in Lockn history. Minus 2 SVIPers right here.

I agree with the possibility of high attendance.....especially with the potential "adds" this fest might be getting. I really have a feeling Shapiro and Co. are throwing the kitchen sink at this one - I expect a lot of late "buy-ins".

Even with Phish's fest last year, where it was only Phish, it was selling soft in the beginning. So soft in fact that they planned for a max of 30K. Then the late buyers came to the table - so late that the fest couldn't get enough port-os to satisfy New York State health officials, so they had to cap it at 30K and it sold out. $250 GA tix were selling for $700-$1000 on the secondary market.

You get some key adds like DeadCo, WSP, SCI, or Phil, and you're gonna have a very large festival on your hands.

me too. My sister bought her 4 tickets today (brother in law and 2 nieces). Maybe those of us who can't go need to form a support group.
