This is a great point.

The veterans of this forum have been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable when addressing the questions and concerns of new attendees, which I think is totally awesome.

With that in mind, everyone (both veteran and rookie alike) should note that what happened in previous years is not guaranteed to happen this year.

For instance, Lockn' has never really had the same configuration in consecutive years. The campgrounds and main venue were both completely rearranged between the first and second year. Between L2 and L3, the entrance to the main venue was reconfigured, the triangle stage was tragically murdered (in favor of the much weaker "Woods" stage), and forest camping was relocated.

There are plenty of other examples, but you get the point - don't count on anything until it comes from the official source. No, wait, scratch that ... you probably can't count on anything from the official source either.

In other words, don't blame us when they confiscate your 10 cases of beer and your tent ends up being 2.4 miles from your car.

I was new last year and these folks were so helpful , including dealing with the cancelled day, and have continued to be in many different ways!

No. In fact, he pinned his own tutorial despite the fact that I made one years ago.

I feel it was appropriate as a global announcement. Not that my opinion matters.
