I recently observed a few changes to the official Lockn' FAQ that I thought were worth noting. It looks like they (sort of) addressed a few of the questions we've been asking. Rather than post the details in the pertinent threads, I thought it would be easier to compile things in one thread - feel free to note any additional changes to the FAQ that you have observed and please excuse me if any of this is not recently updated information.
> Will you have ATMs on site?
Yes.
> Is there transportation from Car Camping to the Event Site?
Heyo Taxi Service
> Do you plan to fill Car Camping 1 or Car Camping 2 first?
Undetermined
> Will there be cell phone charging stations available?
Yes
(note: I saw a tweet that said they will be located next to the General Stores)
There are a few other minor details that they've added, but they weren't really worth noting (i.e. In addition to "low-back" chairs, you can bring in "soccer mom" chairs).
Just some observations:
According to the camping page of "info" section, they are providing a free shuttle service from the campgrounds to the venue area; however, I find it curious that they failed to mention this potentially-life-saving free service in the FAQ. The fact that they only list Heyo Taxi Service in the FAQ makes me wonder if plans have changed. To complicate the matter even further, goodecacher mentioned that there is a rumor circulating that the trolley will actually cost $50 per person (for unlimited use). Could they be pulling the "free trolley" rug out from under us?
They actually made a point to declare that they haven't determined which car camping area they will fill first and I find this dubious. Why would you wait this long to add the question to your FAQ, only to not answer it? I find it hard to believe that we are this close to the festival and they don't have those logistics worked out. I'm speculating here, but I think this is actually a sign that they will fill car camping 1 first. They are reluctant to give us the answer because if the FAQ said, "Yeah, we're filling car camping 1 first (you know, the one that is considerably closer than the other camping area)" then they would be tacitly encouraging people to arrive early (which I imagine they are trying to avoid).
So, those are my paranoid 5:00am ramblings - please tell me if that was coherent.
