No check in listed on the map, no description of where parking is or whether you can get your car in and out repeatedly.

so, how was it y'all?i'm finding myself feeing similarly lacking in the information department for 2014, def need to know where parking is and if i can come and go.

especially now that the map has been reshuffled and we are now basically the furthest spot from the music…. and the RVs seems like they will be quite close to the tree line...

thoughts/advice or has anyone heard anything definitive?

If I could add one artist to the 2023 lineup: Leftover Salmon - they are not booked on those dates!

have you read the info and the FAQ categories on the website completely? lots of good info there, including re-entry. RV is in the same place it was last year, as is forest camping, from what I understand...you could always write Lockn directly if you absolutely need to know where your parking lot will be, but i think i remember reading that w/ the new map, all parking is w/in 1/4 mile of your camp... but please confirm that!

Just found this under "Info > Camping" on the website, pretty much says it all: FOREST CAMPING: This is a tent-only camping area. Forest camping is canopied among healthy trees with a freshly prepared ground surface. A forest (tent-only) camping pass gives you a general admission camping spot with your car to be parked in a lot near-by. This type of camping allows more freedom to gather with friends arriving at different times to the festival. Forest camping tickets include parking close to the Forest camping site. This pass is good for one campsite, one tent and one car, good for up to 4 people with one tent. Extra cars with your Crew? Buy a Day Car Parking pass, and leave a car there. No Re-Entry. NOTE: Forest camping is not available to VIPs at this time.

yeah thanks i've seen all of that - and it sounds good but i'm a little concerned about the lack of a specific parking area on the new map… that and i thought i heard someone in another thread mention that they were actually able to get their cars quite close to their sites. Also, the "forest camping ticket" is just a hanging placard for your car - i don't see a tag for my tent…. which means anyone can just roll in there with a tent., which bums me out a little given the steep price.

anyway i'm gonna hit up lockn but kind of curious how the experience was last year and a cursory search didn't give me too much info.

it'll be great no matter what, just helpful for some planning!!

I shelled out the extra cash for forest camping. I'd like to see something to prevent the site being overrun with renegade campers.

You get the Tent Tag when you check in and get your wrist band. not exactly sure where you will be able to park but it shouldn't be to far if it is anything like last year. Not car camping close but not haul your gear forever away!
